An Urban Designer & Architect
Net Zero
Individuals, Institutions, & Governance systems | 2020
Project Entry for Pandemic Architecture Competition, curated by the Design Ambassador for ARCHISEARCH.gr.
My project on Net Zero was ranked in the top 20 entries, out of a total of 800. The project attempts to understand and find solutions for a post pandemic world.
The problem currently is bigger than architecture, it is systemic. Although one house, hospital or tactical urban design solution would definitely be a responsive solution, it does not address the scale of the problem we face. The real problem lies in our attitude towards our health and the planet, which calls for drastic changes – individually and as a society.

COVID-19 has shown us that no one is safe unless the last one of is. Each one of us has the power to affect our collective future. Every decision, every choice and every step we each take has a major effect on the way the world works. It is time to get aware of these decisions and our impact on the people and communities around us.
As the problem is systemic, so must be the solution.
Net Zero is a systemic platform that incorporates institutions, companies and city governments to induce a sense of responsibility and consciousness towards the very resources that affect our well-being.
We pair our in-depth understanding of these elemental resources with the power of data science to incentivise all citizens to make a positive contribution to each other and the planet. Net Zero users are not only encouraged to get conscious about their choice but are also rewarded for actions taken towards resilience and sustainability.
