Cultural Centre
A cultural event space accommodating and engaging visitors.  |  MQA  Architecture  |  2019

The cultural centre was designed in an upcoming district of a Tier 2 city in India. The goal was to create an event space to celebrate the rich identity of dance, music and local craftsmanship. The design, therefore, reflects the local materials and crafts used in heritage buildings of the city. 

The center anchors itself to its context by taking cues from local vernacular architecture. At the same time, it stands out by means of its scale and reinterpreted use of traditional building systems.

My key tasks involved, leading a team of 3 people to conceptualise a design through 3d models and sketches as well as facade details for the rooms.
